I have been a Body Buster Fitness member since March 2019. I cannot believe it has already been a year! What I like most about the Body Buster Program is the variety of the classes. They are always different yet challenging and offer a full body workout in a fun environment. Everyone is there to accomplish a goal and are supportive of each other and when things get tough there are some laughs to help motivate us to keep pushing through!
I did not weigh myself at the start of the program last year however in this past year I have gained power, strength and stamina.
I have chosen to continue with Body Buster because I set a goal for myself to get back into motion a year ago, and although it can be challenging to get out there and stick to a routine I have managed to surprise myself in doing so. I also really enjoy Kim’s classes, she has been very encouraging from day one and I would not want to let her down I can see her passion in every class and how much she genuinely enjoys supporting her members with their fitness goals.
The training program has made me feel a sense of pride from seeing results of my hard work and dedication. My mental health has improved and I am more inclined to get out for walks around my neighbourhood and keep moving. I feel I have come a long way since the first day of training.
I feel I have gained a better sense of awareness regarding living a healthier life from being a member of Body Buster and making the program a part of my life. I am more aware of the dietary choices I make and the importance of my overall wellbeing in every aspect of my life. I have learned to focus on the positive and understand that there will be days I won’t be at 100% and some days will seem more challenging than others and that is okay as long as I keep showing up and making an effort.
I feel it’s important to lead an active and healthy lifestyle because it translates into our overall mental health and happiness. The better you feel the more empowered you become to continue to make positive and healthy choices. In turn that positivity will branch out to others and help motivate people in your life to make their own healthy choices.
What I would like to tell others who might not have taken the Body Buster Program before is to not be afraid or hesitate to sign up. We have all had a first time trying something new and taking that first step is the most challenging part. Once you go to a class you will be surprised at how much confidence you will gain by realizing you are just like everyone else taking steps towards their personal fitness goals.
My advice to those leading busy lives and having every excuse to not exercise is to challenge themselves to set time aside no matter how small the activity. It’s important we all take time to do something for ourselves and there are many ways to get moving even if only for 10 mins. If you take that initial step to get started it will slowly become a part of your routine and you will certainly feel good about it!
